So far away, I am, still so close to my nation, I feel. Trust me... I miss the flavor of those pickles and those typical Indian dishes, especially when it comes to the Indian events like Holi, Raksha Bandhan, Diwali etc.

Indian Independence Day is edging in fast. It is the day to commemorate the jubilant victory of India over the foreign rule. It's a day that comes in with opportunities to celebrate the victory, an opportunity to adorn the country with all saffron, white and green, an opportunity for Indian to stand up with head held high and chin up with pride and here's again an opportunity to go gaga over the 62nd anniversary of Indian Independence Day celebration.

Another great activity on this day is kite flying. Although, I haven't yet got a chance to view the Indian sky on Indian Independence Day, but I have seen many pics. I heard that it's a much awaited event on the Indian Independence Day and people of all generations all over the country wait for an opportunity to flash their vibrant flying machines, adding a multi-colored hue to the Indian sky on the day.
